I could get the hang of this...

The third blogging assignment is about using my blog in my teaching experiences. Whether it be while I'm still in college or I'm teaching my own class. It's funny how things work out, really. I just got done spreading the word of my blog to some family members and friends. I also was sure to tell them that it really would be something I could incorporate into my future career.

I would love to be that approachable teacher that gets volunteers from parents, students, etc. because the parents feel so interested and welcomed. Now, I understand that being this awesome of a teacher comes with practice. I also understand that there are steps to getting parents and students involved. However, as simple as this blog is and the number of hours we spend on a computer each day, communication through a blog could be quite simple. I think it would be a great way to keep parents updated on classroom (and school) activities, students' (as a whole) progress, and my life as a teacher. I think being a little more personal, possibly telling funny stories of children or learning adventures, could be quite entertaining and make me, as the teacher, more personable and approachable.

Who knows. I could be wrong. But I could be right :)
